Hapag-Lloyd will implement a Value Added Tax effective December 1, 2012.
In accordance with Ministry of Finance, State Administration of Taxation promulgated caishui [2012] No.71 - Circular on the implementation of pilot change from “Business Tax” to “Value-Added Tax” in the transportation and certain modern Service Industries in Beijing and eight other provinces and cities refers.
We would like to inform you that with effect from December 1, 2012 Hapag-Lloyd will implement a Value Added Tax of 6% on all local charges applicable for all export and import shipments payable at Ningbo, Tianjin and Wuhan for invoices issued as from December 1, 2012:
