Hapag-Lloyd informs about extended documentation Shipping Instruction (SI) cut-off time.
Effective immediately, Hapag-Lloyd is now offering an extended documentation Shipping Instruction (SI) cut-off time for export shipments from Australia to countries that require early customs manifest filing, example: USA, Canada, Europe, Mexico and China. Your Shipping Instructions may now be submitted up to 36 hours prior to the vessel arrival at the port of loading.
Please note that advertised dates/times are subject to change.
In offering an extended SI cut-off time, we wish to highlight the importance of data accuracy to ensure that the respective manifesting and loading of cargo can take place timely in accordance to Customs ruling. Failure to supply accurate data by SI at the time of the new documentation (SI) cut-off could result in cargo not being loaded due to missing or inaccurate detail.
Examples of accurate data include (but are not limited to) SCAC codes, ACI codes, House Bill details, Container Number(s) and Container Seal details etc.
