Hapag-Lloyd informs about Venezuela Consignee and Notify Tax ID requirements.
We would like to inform you that as per regulatory requirement in Venezuela all documents presented to customs must include the corresponding Consignee and Notify Venezuela Tax ID as follows:
- LEGAL ENTITY: RIF (Tax ID): Complete and correct number starting with J for private companies or G for governmental entities.
- NATURAL PERSON: RIF (Tax ID): Complete and correct number starting with V for Venezuelan or E for foreigners situated in Venezuela
For “To Order” Bill of Lading the Tax ID must be included for the Notify Party.
