Taiwan – Shipping Instruction Cut-Off 36 Hours Prior to Vessel ETA

Hapag-Lloyd offers extended documentation cut off time for shipments ex Taiwan.

We would like to inform you that with effect from September 17, 2012 Hapag-Lloyd will offer an extended Shipping Instruction (SI) cut-off time for shipments to countries that require customs manifest filing ( e.g.: USA (AMS), Canada (ACI), Europe (ENS) and Mexico (MX-SAT) ).

Please be advised of the following SI cut-off time framework:

  • SI cut-off time: 36 hours prior to vessel ETA
  • SI cut-off window: 08.00 hrs to 20.00 hrs (Monday – Saturday)
  • No SI cut-off on Sunday: Advance cut-off to 20.00 hrs on Saturday
  • Enquiries to local customer service documentation team: 
    09.00 – 17.45 hrs (Monday to Friday)

In offering an extended SI cut–off time, we wish to highlight the importance of data accuracy to ensure that the respective manifesting and loading of cargo can take place timely in accordance to customs filing requirements.

Examples of accurate data include (but not limited to) SCAC Codes, ACI Codes, House Bill details, H.S. Codes, Container Number and Container Seals etc.

Customers are expected to assume the responsibility of ‘No Doc - No Load’ caused by inaccurate, missing or late data. In addition, all surcharges on late submission or amendment remains unchanged.

The commencing vessels for the extended SI cut-off with effect from September 17, 2012 are listed below.
